the new me
The album opens with a short track with sampled wind-up music box playing the theme from "Even The Most Beautiful Thoughts Need Beautiful Actions" - we're going to re-live the past, take a tour through memories of moments that really mattered.
The concept of an album that would be a soundtrack was born when I was talking one day to my friend Marcin about my struggles in finding new musical identity. If not for this conversation, I probably would not have come up with this idea. Thanks to this, I rejected all the schemes that I was faithful to in my music before and decided to define myself again.

even the most beautiful thoughts need beautiful actions
Even the most beautiful ideas, thoughts and feelings are nothing when they exist only in your head. The ability to express them is an art that we learn all our lives. Unfortunately, not always successfully.

part ii (nostalgycus)
One of the most crucial moments in my artist career was to accidentally meet Szymon aka Cori via Youtube in 2013. He later became one of my biggest co-workers, and one of best supporters and motivators ever. This song is somehow dedicated to him.
The title "Nostalgycus" refers to our first track together back in 2013 – “Nostalgycus MB”. I remember him telling me about his will to make a second part, so when I finally came back 6 years later, I fulfilled his idea. Sample at the end of “Part II” is transformed melody of that track from the past.

city never sleeps
This song always gives me something like a feeling of freedom in a world of fascinating night city, in memory of some travels through the city at night. A feeling of warm May night - the one the song was made.
A lot of my songs are somehow connected with people. ”City Never Sleeps” is connected with my friend Magda, who, among other things, (accidentally, but still) gave me an idea for this song's concept and title. Thank you!

mulled wine
”Mulled Wine” is dedicated to my friend Asia, who one day gave me a box of mulled wine tea. From that day, the tea always reminds me of our friendship. As she likes folk music, I wanted to capture a bit of live recorded folk melody – I managed to do this with the help of Couchpot, whose riff (from live pub concert) I sampled.

lovers in the park
“Lovers In The Park” was inspired by a couple I met in 2016 in my beloved park Pole Mokotowskie. This short moment became my direct inspiration to create an soundtrack album telling stories of such memories.
The idea for a narrative in the vocal mix of the song (added as a bonus track on Bandcamp) came from playing around with a soundtrack to the game "The Journey" - in the comments section on Youtube, I noticed a lot of interesting fragments from the novel that this soundtrack could well illustrate. I decided to read these passages to the voice recorder with that music in the background. I liked the effect so much that I decided to make a whole series of such recordings for myself - hence I came back to this idea later, wanting to illustrate my own life experiences, this time with my own music in the background.

I came to the Park and sat on the grass
I saw them by the shore of the lake
They were sitting together in silence
He was lying on the blanket looking at the sky
She was sitting next to him and watching the sunset
Drinking wine from the glass
I guess it was their greatest luck to meet each other
I guess they might have been soulmates
I guess they were in love
But I have never met them later
All that they left me is that moment.

the cauchy's limit
As a future engineer, I had to bring here some mathematical influences. The Cauchy's Limit is "fundamental concept in calculus and analysis concerning the behavior of that function near a particular input".
Musically inspired by Tangerine Dream & M83 as "mathematical song" needed sophisticated, dark buildup.

mosaic
There are many such things that we can only truly understand from the perspective of time. This is similar to a mosaic that is still missing a few puzzles, or which we think we have put together and in fact from a certain perspective is still scrapped. It's only the new experiences we get when trying new things; people that we meet, the beauty we discover in them. It all make us start to see our life from different perspectives.

e-motional song
My first ever synthwave (a kind of disco?) influenced song. Name of the track is a kind of ironic joke because of so many sad nostalgic stuff on this album.

loop of own feelings
Worst loop is the one that is infinite?
let's risk/ruin everything
We often take risks in our lives. Some are afraid of it, others love it, and others simply avoid him. Sometimes it’s needed, but sometimes it can completely ruin everything that we already have, because we are simply putting everything at stake in the hope of profit. Especially when there is potential reward on the horizon, often blinded by desires we throw ourselves into the unknown. Life will show us through the years where it was worth it and where it wasn’t.
The inspiration for the track kept in cinematic atmosphere were the great soundtracks of Mac Quayle from "Mr. Robot" series.

the answer
Short song inspired by U2's "4th of July" and Moby's "7". It is a kind of musical experiment - a lot of echoes, "blur" of guitar sounds in the background plus a filtered beat from the next song on the album. This is one of my favorite fragments, it is a kind of transition between full of emotions and anxiety "Let's Risk/Ruin Everything" and the idyllic "A Moment To Change Everything".

a moment to change everything
The inspiration behind this album are moments. Moments that have a power of changing our lifes. My main goal was to capture music with all the thoughts, events and feelings that I experienced during four years of silence in my artistic creation. I have included them not only in music, but also in song titles, as well as their personal commentaries (which are an integral part of the story I want to convey).
A moment can change everything. A moment can completely change the direction of our lives. It can make us happy, but may also disappoint us. It can change us for the better, but also hurt us eternally. This album is about such moments. Those that constantly affect us and come back in memories like a boomerang. night walk (harp & bell)
In my life I have had lots of night walks with special people. I have done many of them in the park, where I used to go every day - Pole Mokotowskie. Park that amazingly gave solace in difficult moments in life. Especially in its delicate noise of water, greenery and the silence of the night. “Night Walk (Harp & Bell)“ brings that solace to the very end of the album.

bonuses & thankyous
Here go thankyous ”for memories”:
(as this is my first album all about people and life events connected with them): thank you to all the wonderful people around me, thanks to whom and with whom I could have such wonderful and inspiring memories. This album is thanks to you and for you.
Special thankyous go to Asia, Marcin, Julita, Magda, Adam, Zofia, Dominik, Daniel, Darek, Arek. Of course, thank you especially to those whom I can't thank here by name - unfortunately, the pictures don’t have enough space for everyone, but that doesn’t mean that there is no space for you in my heart either.
Love you all, Mike.
Here go thankyous “for music”:
big thank you to Paweł (River's Edge), Iti & Szymon for being my biggest motivators and co-workers throughout the years. Big thank you also to Marco 'Couchpot' for being my acoustic soulmate and letting me use your riffs again in my music.
